The Doors of Perception
Web Design, Processing, Motion
In 1953, Aldous Huxley took four-tenths of a gram of mescalin and waited to see what happened. Huxley described his eye-opening experience with his book, “The Doors of Perception.” With this project, I designed a website that breaks his book into eight different sections with specific artwork that help tell his story.
Each chapter page was made with the help of Processing in order to speed up the decision making process. I would choose a set of images to make a collage based on the quote of the section. Then, I coded it to randomize the order and placement in Processing. Here are the most successful collages.
